scientific collaborations strengthen our expertise

Our well-recognized expertise in the field of CNS research enables us to initiate collaborations or to participate to scientific projects.

Scientific projects and collaborations

Partnerships contribute to developing our skills

We are behind the setup of regional, national and international research programs in neurosciences. In 2010, we initiated a precompetitive project on « The use of EEG as a CNS Biomarker » together with some of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world. We also contribute to international projects funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Program (FP7) (see Box).

Our ongoing European research programs:

We are regularly approached by the CNRS, INSERM, the Karolinska Institute (Sweden), the Aristote University (Greece). We also have close collaborations with the R&D departments of automobile, microelectronics, food and cosmetic industries.

Scientific partnerships in neurosciences

In association with the Institut Fédératif de Recherche en Neurosciences of Strasbourg, we work in close collaboration with the constitutive laboratories that are devoted to the research on nervous system functioning. We initiate scientific collaborations in all fields ranging from the molecule to psychiatry, and participate in the implementation of technological platforms to progress in the field of neurosciences.
We are involved in Neurex center of excellence which gathers the three big universities of the Upper Rhine region (Strasbourg, Basel, and Freiburg) around scientific and industrial exchanges. With their respective scientific competences, the three universities cover all areas of the research in neurosciences (molecular analysis, neuronal network, neuroimaging, etc).

Training to contribute to the scientific development

Training today the experts of tomorrow: the transfer of competences is the first step to scientific excellence. We train young researchers in Master Neurosciences (Doctoral School « Health and Life sciences» from Strasbourg University, and Joint Master in Strasbourg, Basel and Freiburg Universities).

International projects, scientific partnerships, training: our involvement strengthens our expertise to bring an always better qualified service to the pharmaceutical industry.
